$252 million Coorparoo Square transforms inner east

The first-stage residential component of Coorparoo Square is completed and poised to welcome its first residents as the $252 million mixed-use development edges closer to fulfilling its promise of urban revitalisation for an iconic site in Brisbane’s inner east.

Located in the heart of Coorparoo, the project includes 366 apartments across three residential buildings, with the soon-to-be-unveiled retail component delivering one of Brisbane’s newest and most exciting dining and entertainment precincts.

A joint venture between Frasers Property Australia and Honeycombes Property Group, Coorparoo Square has risen on a high-profile site fronting Old Cleveland and Cavendish roads and which was formerly occupied by Queensland’s first Myer department store.

The first stage residential offering comprises two buildings with 251 apartments offering the ultimate urban lifestyle for residents, including spectacular views of the city and the sophisticated recreational amenities of Club Coorparoo.

Among the apartment buyers looking forward to moving into Coorparoo Square are retired couple Frank and Ruth Benson who have a close connection to the district.

Mr Benson was born at the Mansfield Private Hospital which was formerly located opposite Coorparoo Square.

“I lived at Coorparoo until I was 14 and my wife also attended Coorparoo State School, so this takes us back to where we started off,” Mr Benson said.

“There’s a lot of nostalgia for us in the area, and we are really looking forward to moving in.”

At the other end of the buyer spectrum is first home buyer Aaron Pullen who says he struck gold when he came across Coorparoo Square.

“The quality of the building and proximity to the city suited my lifestyle perfectly, as well as the handy public transport links to get me to and from work each day,” Mr Pullen said.

“It’s been an exciting process, and I’m very much looking forward to having all the necessary retail amenities on my doorstep.”
