Australand unveils new Cova masterplan

Diversified property group Australand has unveiled a spectacular masterplan for its $266 million Cova community at Hope Island, which includes plans for a commercial precinct and a diverse range of up to 550 new dwellings, from house and land to waterfront apartments. The masterplan will see the creation of one of the largest communities on the Gold Coast over the next decade and the next chapter in the development of the city’s premium growth corridor at Hope Island.Developed in consultation with award-winning BDA architecture, the new masterplan vision follows the recent approval of the development’s centrepiece, the 79 berth marina.Australand general manager, Queensland residential division Richard Fulcher said the recently completed first stage of the $3million Cova marina was the catalyst for providing new amenity for the community, prompting a revised overall masterplan moving forward.“The approval of the marina paves the way for the acceleration of our Cova program,” said Mr Fulcher.“We are very excited by this masterplan as it delivers a clear vision for what will ultimately be one of the key waterfront communities on the northern Gold Coast.“Cova will be Australand’s flagship project on the Gold Coast over the next few years and we are committed to delivering a residential community which offers a diverse range of residential options to suit a variety of market needs.“We hope to create a destination in Cova that residents will love and visitors will be drawn to.”New plans for the estate include 450sqm of commercial space granted for a marine promenade precinct which will host a wide variety of retail and restaurant outlets within a vibrant, integrated waterfront community fronting the Hope Island Canal.Future residential blueprints include plans for town homes, mixed-use living and waterfront apartments all nestled among Cova’s three lakes, quaint laneways, the Hope Island Canal and manicured parklands. The introduction of new amenity and community facilities will also see two man-made beaches constructed alongside a boat house recreational club and functions facility, waterfront cafe and  canal-front parklands for residents and visitors to enjoy. With a focus on embracing a waterfront lifestyle, Mr Fulcher said the new masterplan highlighted the diversity, flexibility and choice in offerings at Cova, including diversity of land sizes, choice of premium waterfront product, marina berth and private pontoon options.“Buyers are drawn to Cova for the wide range of house and land packages on offer, and we are excited to reveal our new plans for future development, which will see Cova grow into a destinational community in its own right,” said Mr Fulcher.“These new plans allow for even more diversity in our precinct and home designs, which we know buyers will appreciate.“The plans for Cova as a whole will add value to the housing product on offer, while transforming the estate into a vibrant village-style community for the benefit of residents and visitors.“Buyers getting in early at Cova will certainly reap the benefits of securing house and land in a community with an exciting and prosperous future.”Located on 31 hectares of prime waterfront land on the Hope Island Canal, Cova offers a rare opportunity to secure affordable house, land and marina berth packages within the coveted Hope Island community.Cova’s marina berths represent the only chance to purchase a freehold marina berth title on the Hope Island Canal.A limited number of lots remain on offer at Cova’s Lakeside, The Enclave and North Quay precincts.Cova has maximised the natural beauty of the surrounding environment, creating more than five kilometres of walk and cycle ways winding through manicured parks for residents to enjoy with all parks featuring BBQ and picnic facilities.Additional community recreational facilities include the Cova Club, which features a fully equipped gymnasium, kitchen catering facilities, function room, BBQ and 25 metre pool.Lots at Cova Lakeside range in size from 504sqm to 539sqm.
