First home buyers flock to Villa World's Era community

First home buyers are taking advantage of a range of buying incentives to climb into the rising property market in Brisbane’s Bayside.Developer Villa World reports a rising number of first home buyers purchasing in its communities across the Redlands region, including Mount Cotton Village (Mt Cotton), Era (Capalaba) and Waterline (Thornlands). They are taking advantage of the State Government’s $15,000 Great Start Grant and Villa World’s zero deposit incentive which is available at selected projects.Kate Anderson and Joseph Burton purchased their first home in Villa World’s Mount Cotton Village after almost a year of house hunting in neighbouring suburbs Carina, Carindale, Manly and Wakerley.“We were given a leg-up by the government’s grant which made buying a new home a viable option when stacked up against an established property,” she said.“The benefit is we get to live in a brand new home and really make it our own.“Villa World’s one deposit, one contract and one final payment model simplified the process from start to finish.“The process was easy, everyone was amazing to deal with and our home was delivered complete and ready to move into.”Nathan and Aimee Reed are among an influx of first home buyers at Villa World’s Era community, where first home buyers have made up 37 per cent of purchasers in the current stage.“It was great value in our eyes – to have a brand new, completed home at an attractive price point,” Mr Reed said.“The $15,000 incentive has enabled us to secure a new home in a well established area and rising property market.”Villa World senior development manager Murray Simpson said first home buyers comprised an increasing proportion of the buyer demographic at Era.“Traditionally we’ve seen a lot of second or third home buyers, even downsizers, but the first home buyer market has really come to the fore recently,” he said.“Some of them are looking to establish or grow their families and buying a new home in a Villa World community allows them to grow in place.”At Era, Villa World recently launched the community’s fourth stage.
