Head of Australia's largest construction company purchases slice of Kirra beachfront luxury

Greg Quinn, Managing Director of Queensland’s leading builder Hutchinsons and his wife Anne, have purchased an apartment in Melbourne-based developer Hirsch and Faigen’s ultra-luxury Emerson on the southern Gold Coast beach front of Kirra.

Anne and Greg purchased a 352m2 north facing apartment on the second floor of Emerson, which sits in the heart of Kirra’s Musgrave Street, gazing across a canopy of Norfolk pines onto the Kirra shoreline and Pacific Ocean.

The residence sits within a boutique tower with only 27 apartments over 13 levels, home to a ground floor residents work lounge and resort pool.

“Hutchinson Builders delivers a range of boutique luxury apartments across South-East Queensland and Australia, so I’ve seen my fair share of impressive developments in some truly remarkable locations,” said Mr Quinn.

“My wife and I chose Emerson Kirra for the high quality Rothelowman proposed design and interiors, and the history of luxury development by Hirsch and Faigen across Australia.

“The layout, view and quality of the apartment immediately stood out to us, and then the central location on the beachfront simply sealed the deal.”

Rothelowman’s unique approach to Emerson’s design saw it steer away from conventional glass tower designs, instead leaning into warmth, texture and attention to detail characteristic of an older style building, reimagined into a contemporary yet timeless design.

Kirra has become a coveted residential enclave sought after for its unique positioning as one of the only north fronting beaches on the Gold Coast and its laidback beachside atmosphere.

“We were really drawn to Kirra’s charm; it’s got a different feel to the rest of the Gold Coast, and we found it to be the perfect fit for our future lifestyle,” said Mr Quinn.

“World class surf breaks, picturesque walkways and local cafes and restaurants are all within reach, without feeling over ran or congested.”

Quinn is a veteran of the Australian construction industry, having been at the wheel of Hutchison Builders, Australia’s largest privately owned construction company, for 20 years and also headed up the Queensland Master Builders and the New South Wales Master Builders’ Associations for 17 years prior to that.

Hutchies has been appointed to deliver both of Hirsch and Faigen’s latest Gold Coast offerings – Emerson Kirra and Hemingway Palm Beach.

“It’s an added bonus that my wife and I will be living in a home that has been brought to life by the Hutchies family, you really can’t get better peace of mind than that,” said Mr Quinn.

Construction on Emerson is due to commence in early 2022 with completion scheduled for mid-2023.

Hirsch & Faigen is a Melbourne based developer backed by a family history of success in the petroleum and horse racing industry, now renowned as an industry leading developer producing timeless residential developments across Australia’s eastern seaboard.
