Macquarie York set to build on its Chevron Island success with plans for $90 million Nina project

Sydney-based developer Macquarie York, buoyed by the success of Allure at Chevron Island, has announced plans for a second project in the sought-after central Gold Coast suburb, the $90,000,000 million Nina project, designed to meet demand for a coastal lifestyle in the city’s unique urban village.

The Nina development, planned for a 1,012sqm site at 8-10 Parneno Street, will comprise 78 apartments over 23 storeys, which will include a selection of six premium skyhomes and two multi-level penthouses that offer unparalleled views east to the Pacific Ocean and west to the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Macquarie York has fast-tracked plans for the development after recently selling out its debut Gold Coast project, the $88 million Allure.

Nina is the third Gold Coast development to be undertaken by the company, which is currently progressing plans for Ocean House Palm Beach, an ultra-luxurious whole-floor apartment project over eight levels.

Macquarie York has more than 30 years’ combined industry experience in project development, marketing and consulting.

Managing director Roy Skaf said Nina has been inspired by the success of the company’s debut project on the Gold Coast and it has been refined to meet the needs of lifestyle buyers.

“Central to our theme is the concept of barefoot luxury, which captures the essence of the Gold Coast’s many iconic beachside suburbs,” said Mr Skaf.

“Chevron Island is such a unique part of that mix, a true urban village that is within easy reach of everything the Gold Coast has to offer, including the city’s emerging arts precinct and a host of dining, retail and leisure facilities at your doorstep.

“Each apartment in Nina has been thoughtfully designed to capture stunning views, while providing a superior level of recreation and amenity spaces for residents.”

Designed by Plus Architecture, Nina will offer a stunning exterior design and a mix of two and three-bedroom apartments with many of them crafted to meet the missing middle market.

The six generous skyhomes will create 233sqm of living space, comprising three bedrooms, a media room and four bathrooms, as well as two large balconies.

Nina will be topped by two double-storey penthouses offering expansive three-bedroom living, with each complemented by their own private terrace and plunge pool.

On the ground floor residents will have access to a secure bike storage area at the building’s entry, while a mezzanine level above the ground floor will host a wellness centre to include a yoga deck, a large gym, sauna and shower facilities, all nestled in lush landscaping.

Nina residents will also enjoy the premium experience of a rooftop terrace with an expansive resort-style infinity-edge pool, floating daybeds, a sunken firepit lounge and barbecue area, all offering stunning 180-degree ocean views.

“All common areas provide access to natural light and ventilation and a combination of superior amenity,” said Mr Skaf.

“We have created carefully considered public spaces to make this development a true oasis and a sanctuary for residents to enjoy for decades to come.”
