Smart twist to Spyre Group's $79m Gold Coast debut

BRISBANE developer Spyre Group has made a spectacular Gold Coast debut with the unveiling of an exquisite boutique residential tower with a high-tech twist at Broadbeach. The $79 million Elysian Broadbeach project will rise 21 levels and blend breathtaking architecture with high-tech design and priceless ocean views.Comprised of 65 residences, the curvaceous and striking Elysian is aimed squarely at luxury owner-occupier buyers seeking a prestige apartment lifestyle right next to the beach.Elysian will take shape on an 825sqm site at the corner of Old Burleigh Road and Margaret Street, with commanding views of the beachfront and located 600 metres from Pacific Fair and The Star Gold Coast. The landmark tower will introduce to the Gold Coast high-rise development scene a high-tech automated vehicle storage system that significantly enhances the parking capacity of a development of this scale and allows most apartments to each have two car spaces.Spyre Group director Andrew Malouf said Elysian would redefine the standard of luxury apartment living in Broadbeach by melding stunning architecture with intelligent cutting-edge design.“Thanks to its corner position, all Elysian apartments will boast ocean views along with spacious floorplans and interiors awash in natural light,” Mr Malouf said.“Creating something different is a hallmark of the Spyre Group philosophy and we are thrilled with what we have planned for our first Gold Coast project on this amazing site in the heart of Broadbeach.“We believe Elysian will match and exceed the discerning expectations of the growing luxury owner occupier apartment market.”Mr Malouf said the inclusion of the innovative automatic parking system would benefit Elysian’s residents and the surrounding neighbourhood.“This system is a step forward for residential tower development on the Gold Coast,” he said.“It is the first of its kind for Queensland, allowing cars to be parked smoothly and safely, and eliminating the problem of impossibly tight parking spaces and blind spots.“From a security perspective, this system offers the ultimate peace of mind as the car is firmly locked in when parked and retrieved by the owner through swipe card access.“It also will reduce the need for on-street parking and, in doing so, diminish Elysian’s impact at street level, which is an important consideration for residential tower projects in extremely popular suburbs like Broadbeach.“We see it as forward-thinking design that will have positive impacts in the short to very long term.”Elysian will overlook the beachfront Pratten Park to the east and Broadbeach Primary School to the south while offering ocean views that can never be built out.The development will comprise a total of 56 two and three-bedroom apartments, plus three spacious villas and six premium penthouses. The villas and penthouses have yet to be released to the market.Two-bedroom apartments in Elysian are priced from $645,000 and three bedroom apartments from $1.32 million.Spyre Group, which has more than $250 million in development projects under way, has gained a reputation over a decade for creating sophisticated and innovative living spaces in sought-after locations in inner Brisbane. Its Brisbane projects include the $78 million SOKO Waterfront Apartments and the $6 million SOKO Sky Homes, both in West End, and the $41 million Zhara New Farm luxury boutique development.“After having established a strong track record in Brisbane, the Elysian project in Broadbeach is the realisation of Sypre Group’s strategic decision to invest in this growing South East Queensland residential market,” said Nicholas Clydsdale, director of CBRE Residential Gold Coast which is marketing Elysian.“There is strong demand for owner occupier product in the central precinct, particularly for properties close to the beach,” Mr Clydsdale said.“Sypre’s understanding of the requirements of these buyers has resulted in an innovative design that honours its beachfront location and will deliver a new architectural icon to the Broadbeach streetscape.“There has been strong enquiry in the project during pre-release, particularly from the local market.”
