Tasman Holiday Parks 'Rollingstone Rocks Festival of Cool' makes a welcome return for 2022

Tasman Holiday Parks Rollingstone is bringing back the ever-popular Rollingstone Rocks Festival of Cool, as it kick-starts the festive summer season in North Queensland at the end of November.

The Rollingstone Rocks Festival, held on site at Tasman Holiday Parks 32-acre beachfront site on The Esplanade at Rollingstone, returns on November 25 to 27 for an exciting long weekend of live entertainment, fabulous food and a host of special attractions including the Tropical North’s hottest pool party.

Headlining this year’s festival will be pop music icons The Chantoozies, who will play on Saturday night alongside a packed three-day program of local artists including Rebelquin, Tim Griffin, The Base Coats and Swoon.

Rollingstone Rocks Festival of Cool, known as the coolest music and car show this side of Townsville, will feature a stunning line-up of classic hot rods as the event looks set to rev up the tempo of fun and entertainment in its traditional timeslot of the last weekend of November.

“After such a successful turn out to the event last year, we’re back bigger and better than ever,” said Tasman Holiday Parks Rollingstone manager Jody Langham.

“We are super excited to get into the party spirit again by welcoming visitors and locals alike to a spectacular weekend of fun and entertainment.”

The Rollingstone Rocks Festival has been running since 2016 and facilitated by Tasman Holiday Parks since 2021, with the event proving to be a major tourism drawcard for the region each year.

“The Festival of Cool 2022 couldn’t come at a better time,” said Nikki Milne the CEO of Tasman Holiday Parks, “this festival supports so many local artists and businesses while offering a much-needed boost to the local economy.”

“Tasman Holiday Parks is a great supporter of local businesses wherever we operate and we’re looking forward to welcoming visitors from near and far to enjoy some genuine North Queensland talent and hospitality.”

The complete entertainment line-up for the festival also includes Josie J and the Richoches, Tammy Moxon, Sam McCann, Black Valentine and Tess Latu.

Tasman Holiday Parks Rollingstone’s pool is sure to be a favourite spot for revellers to cool off while enjoying a range of activities that will keep the whole family entertained throughout the weekend.

“The festival will take over our beautiful beachfront location, just an easy drive north of Townsville and on the Saturday we actually have a pool party with lots of fun and games for kids of all ages,” said Mrs Langham.

“We will also have a few market stall holders here for some fun shopping and a fairy floss and milkshake station for the kids.

“We encourage locals and visitors to book their accommodation soon at the park for the festival as we fill up fast every year for this highly anticipated event.”

“Townsville North Queensland offers a great selection of events throughout the year from Supercars to Australian Festival of Chamber Music, through to the upcoming Rollingstone Rocks Festival of Cool,” said Lisa Woolfe, Director of Visitor Economy and Marketing Townsville Enterprise.

“Homegrown local events like the Rollingstone Rocks Festival of Cool are fantastic contributors to the local economy and help make Townsville a great place to live and work. It’s events like this that over time, and with support from our local community, grow and develop to become must do’s on the North Queensland events calendar.”
