MRCB INTERNATIONAL’S $200M MARIS WINS BEST APARTMENT DEVELOPMENT (QUEENSLAND) AT ASIA PROPERTY AWARDS

MRCB International has cemented its place among the nation’s leading developers, with its $200 million Southport project, Maris, awarded Best Apartment Development (Queensland) at the prestigious Asia Property Awards.

The award recognises Maris’ outstanding architectural design, lifestyle-focused amenities, and contribution to the ongoing transformation of the Southport CBD.

Designed by award-winning Plus Architecture, the 20-level tower will deliver 192 one- and two-bedroom apartments, with flexibility to combine into larger homes in response to evolving buyer needs.

The recognition comes on the back of a record-breaking sales launch, with 75 per cent of residences already sold ahead of market release, the strongest sales result of any new Gold Coast project.

“MRCB International is proud to see Maris recognised at the Asia Property Awards,” said Ravi Krishnan, CEO of MRCB International.

“This award validates our approach to creating considered, lifestyle-driven residences that respond to how people want to live today – connected, well-designed, and future-focused.”

Maris’ amenity suite includes a rooftop yoga and dining terrace with panoramic Broadwater views, a podium-level pool, gym, sauna, and open-air spaces designed to promote wellbeing, community, and connection.

Positioned on the site of the former Sundale Motel, directly opposite the Broadwater Parklands light rail station, Maris offers walkable access to retail, dining and the proposed Olympic arena at Carey Park, a future catalyst for investment in the lead-up to the 2032 Games.

The project has also been a major contributor to the Gold Coast’s apartment market. Research by Urbis showed Maris accounted for 80 of the 209 new apartment sales recorded across the city during the March quarter, cementing its role as Southport’s strongest performing residential development.

Construction of Maris is scheduled to commence in the first half of 2026, with completion anticipated in 2028.
