AZZURA LAUNCH THE SECOND STAGE OF $3.8BN MEGA-PROJECT IN SOUTHPORT
In a defining moment for the resurgence of Southport, Gold Coast–based developer Azzura Investments Limited has officially launched Monarch Place, a $450 million project and the second stage of the group’s landmark $3.8 billion Imperial Square masterplan.
Priced from $825,000, Monarch Place will comprise a 30-level tower, with 237 luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, including three ultra-luxury penthouses that crown the development.
Following Monarch Place, Azzura will amalgamate the remaining land at Imperial Square to deliver the final stage, Majesty, an approved 108-level tower that will rise 358 meters into the Gold Coast skyline, overtaking Q1 as Australasia’s tallest tower.
Spearheaded by veteran developer Robert Badalotti, Monarch Place will deliver one of the most ambitious residential amenity precincts ever proposed in Australia - an unprecedented 4,000sqm lifestyle offering on a single level.
“We are excited to launch Monarch Place, signalling our commitment to shaping Southport’s future and the evolving needs of its growing population.
Monarch Place, and Imperial Square more broadly, will create a vibrant, self-sustaining residential and lifestyle precinct unlike anything the Gold Coast has ever seen,” said Mr Badalotti.
The launch follows Azzura’s successful sell-out, completion and opening of Stage One, Regal Residences, anchored by TRYP by Wyndham Southport Hotel.
Prominently positioned on the corner of Meron Street and Ferry Road, Monarch Place will sit adjacent to the highly successful TRYP by Wyndham Southport Hotel - home to the popular Amore Restaurant & Bar - further strengthening the project’s position within the Imperial Square precinct.
Level 5 will feature 63 hotel rooms, offering guests the opportunity to enjoy the extensive suite of amenities available, including a 100 sqm gymnasium.
Designed by Frank Raunik, with interiors by Lauren Joy in collaboration with Hexa Design, Monarch Place will showcase one of the largest residential amenity offerings in the country. The Level 6 recreation precinct will feature a 600sqm lagoon-style pool with private cabanas, sauna, steam room, and multiple wellness zones. Additional amenities include a residents’ bar, grand ballroom, private cinema, golf simulator, and elegant lounge spaces.
“The scale of the amenity on Level 6 has simply never been attempted on the Gold Coast before. Combined with the Monarch Club lifestyle assets - including access to a 70-foot luxury cruiser, caravans, and a fleet of EVs available exclusively to Club members - we are proud to set a new benchmark for luxury living.”
In a major point of difference, residents will also benefit from an entire level dedicated to premium medical facilities. A total of 23 medical suites will be delivered on level 1, with 15 already sold to leading specialists, ensuring unparalleled convenience and care under one roof.
The ground floor will feature an activated retail precinct with 12 shops designed to enhance the streetscape and serve both residents and the wider community.
“Monarch Place will stand as a beacon of innovation and progress for the Gold Coast, creating a vertical community that fuses residential, medical, lifestyle and hospitality elements under one roof,” Mr Badalotti said.
“Every detail, from the active retail frontage to the secure parking and extensive amenity offering, has been crafted to revitalise Southport and enhance the daily lives of both locals and Monarch Place residents.
Now launched, Monarch Place is poised to move into the delivery phase, with trusted builder Platform Construction appointed to bring this landmark vision to life, following their successful and timely delivery of Stage One of Imperial Square.
