BASTION DEVELOPMENT GROUP LOGDE DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION FOR $180M PROJECT IN SURFERS PARADISE
Bastion Development Group is strengthening its investment in Surfers Paradise by lodging the development application with the Gold Coast City Council for a $180 million residential project, Surfer.
Following the acquisition of the three adjoining sites at 2959 Surfers Paradise Boulevard to 25 and 27 Vista Street, Bastion is moving swiftly to deliver modern, attainable luxury living to the Gold Coast.
Located in the heart of the Gold Coast’s most iconic precinct on Vista Street, Surfer will form a flagship addition to Bastion’s growing portfolio, which includes the group’s landmark $174 million Nera in Chervon Island, which has secured 70% in sales.
“We are extremely excited to have lodged the development application Surfer, and we believe this project will be a great addition to both Surfers Paradise and the Bastion portfolio,” said Alex Wood, CEO of Bastion Group.
“The Gold Coast is rapidly growing and evolving, and we are proud to help cater to that evolution.
“There’s a strong desire for design-led living in such a central, vibrant location like Surfers Paradise, and Surfer will meet that demand.”
Designed by award-winning architectural firm Studio Snell, Surfer will meet the increasing demand for modern beachside living by focusing on liveability and smart design, comprising 30 floors with 100 two-bedroom apartments, each with expansive functional living spaces.
The development has been designed to cater to a wide demographic, including investors, young professionals, and young families.
“This development’s location makes it an exceptional opportunity for investors. Being just moments from the beach and tram, it’s perfectly positioned for holidaymakers looking for convenience and lifestyle. With a boutique restaurant, dedicated kids’ area, and well-planned private spaces, it also offers residents the comfort and ease of truly effortless living,” said Mr Wood.
Strategically positioned just moments from the beach at 2959 Surfers Paradise Boulevard to 25 and 27 Vista Street, Surfer is just minutes away from Northcliff Surfer Club, as well as shops, restaurants and the vibrant centre of Surfers Paradise, further anchoring the development’s authentic coastal identity.
Residents will have access to an EMF-designed gym, a sparkling pool, boutique retail, a restaurant offering room service to apartments, a dedicated kids’ zone, and an exclusive residents’ area with private plunge pools as well as podium parking, enhancing the famous lifestyle the Gold Coast offers.
The DA lodgement for Surfer follows the quick-fire sales and ongoing construction of Nera Residences by Bastion’s in-house construction arm, Bastion Built, with the ground floor slab now poured and the crane scheduled to go up next month. Pending approval, Bastion Built is set to build Surfer.
“Our in-house construction arm, Bastion Built, allows us to ensure the quality and consistency of every project,” said Mr. Wood.
“By managing construction ourselves, we’re able to stay agile, respond to challenges on-site, and make adjustments as needed, which ultimately leads to a better result for our buyers.”
The company’s focus on quality control and hands-on management will be key in delivering and maintaining the project on Vista Street to the highest standards, with the development to also be managed in-house by Bastion Living.
This development builds on Bastion Group’s reputation for delivering premium design-driven homes that cater to a variety of lifestyles. With its combination of beauty, practicality, state-of-the-art amenities, and location, Surfer is set to transform beachside living on the Gold Coast.
