Malaysian property powerhouse MRCB International has appointed leading Australian builder Versatile Construction, part of Versatile Group to deliver 26 Vista, its landmark $600 million luxury residential tower on the Gold Coast, with the project already underway.
26 Vista is a 51-storey luxury residential tower in Northcliffe, a pristine pocket in Surfers Paradise just moments from the beach, offering residents a rare combination of coastal tranquillity and urban convenience.
26 Vista is the first of MRCB International's two Gold Coast developments, alongside Maris in Southport. Together, the two projects, which are now both under construction, represent a combined end value of more than $800 million, placing MRCB International among the most active developers currently building in the region.
The appointment marks 26 Vista’s transition from early works into main construction. The civil contractor that began site works in November last year has been novated to Versatile, ensuring a seamless handover into the main build.
The appointment lands at a time when the construction sector faces rising material and labour costs and tightening subcontractor capacity. Locking in a contract with a well-capitalised builder has become significantly more challenging.
“We’re delighted to be partnering with Versatile to deliver 26 Vista,” said Kevin Zhang, Sales and Marketing Director at MRCB International. “Our commitment to the Gold Coast reflects our belief in its long term fundamentals: strong population growth, enduring lifestyle demand and a genuine shortage of new, quality homes.”
Ben Richardson, Versatile’s Head of Construction, Queensland said: “Versatile Construction and MRCB are a natural strategic fit with a shared commitment to delivering excellence. Our approach to construction, controlling delivery across the entire supply chain, gives MRCB clear visibility of cost, programme and quality. That assurance strengthens buyer confidence that 26 Vista will be delivered as promised.”
Established in 1974, Sydney-headquartered Versatile Group has built a long-standing presence in the development and construction sector and currently holds work in hand valued at more than $4 billion.
The partnership is expected to support hundreds of construction jobs and flow-on work for local trades and suppliers over the life of the build, underscoring confidence in the Gold Coast’s continued growth as a premium property market.
26 Vista will comprise a collection of one, two and three bedroom apartments, crowned by an exclusive sub-penthouse and penthouse collection, offering an elevated coastal lifestyle in the heart of the Gold Coast. Residents will enjoy two full floors of resort-style amenities, including extensive wellness facilities, cinema room and rooftop oasis with 360 degree ocean to hinterland views.
The award winning design is by DBI Design, a local but globally recognised architectural firm behind some of Gold Coast’s best known skyscrapers.
26 Vista is designed for buyers looking for a quality home without compromise, offering resort level amenity, stunning coastal outlooks and a level of design and finish suited to the discerning buyer.
More than 70% of the residences are sold, with buyers predominantly downsizers seeking luxury apartment living in the region.
MRCB International’s Maris development, valued at over $200 million, will deliver 192 apartments across 20 levels in Southport, under construction by Binah, an Australia owned and operated construction company.
With Versatile now driving construction at 26 Vista, the tower is anticipated to reach completion in mid-2030. 26 Vista has a limited collection of residences remaining, priced from $1,865,000.
