4000 jobs boon for Gold Coast project
Almost 4000 workers are expected to be involved in the delivery of Palmera Residences at Northcliffe, providing a significant boost to the Gold Coast economy as Victorian developer Central Equity and Multiplex ramp up construction on the landmark development.
The project has reached a significant milestone with the first crane now installed marking the official commencement of construction by Tier 1 Global Contractor Multiplex. Approximately 4,000 workers are expected to be involved both on and off site over the course of the project, a major windfall for the city’s construction industry. Central Equity Director Karl Kutner said Palmera represented a significant investment in the Gold Coast economy at a time when construction projects were playing an important role in supportinglocal employment.
"Palmera represents a major investment in the Gold Coast and we are delighted the project is expected to support almost 4,000 jobs over the course of its delivery."
"The installation of the first crane is another significant milestone for the project. With Multiplex now ramping up construction, purchasers can see Palmera taking shape as construction gathers momentum."
Central Equity is one of Australia's most experienced privately-owned property developers. Over more than four decades, the company has delivered in excess of 85 residential developments including 10,000 apartments and many thousands of stand alone homes.
Palmera has already recorded more than $400 million in sales, with Mr Kutner saying the combination of location, design quality and delivery certainty had resonated strongly with purchasers.
"Buyers today are very conscious of delivery. Having Multiplex constructing Palmera, together with Central Equity's four decade track record of delivering major residential projects, provides a level of confidence that is increasingly important in the current market.”
